On Thursday June 8th Dublin’s finest five-star boutique hotels, Dylan Hotel, celebrated a decade since its opening and to mark the occasion it officially unveiled a €10 million renovation at a glamorous gala.
The results of the renovation include with addition of 28 new guest bedrooms, the creation of 15 hotel industry jobs and multiple interior updates to the building.
On the evening guests who made their way to Dublin’s most sophisticated quarter, just off Upper Baggot Street, were treated to a live jazz band, cocktails form Teeling Whiskey Distillery, and a dazzling display display of fresh seafood, cheese and charcuterie.
Sweet treats included candy floss and ice cream from Dublin favourite Teddy’s Ice Cream.
Dylan Hotel has been in operation for just over ten years and began renovations in August 2016. The development to the Victorian property has seen its 44 deluxe bedroom offering extended to include an additional 28 guestrooms within the existing building.
With the expert assistance of Architect Gerry Murphy and Interior Designer Jean Feeney of MCA Architects, the new bedrooms have been designed to reflect the unique, signature style of the Dylan Hotel and blend seamlessly with the existing elegant period architecture.
The significant investment and development of the Irish owned Dylan Hotel has created a further 15 job positions including roles for Front of House, Chefs and in Sales, demonstrating the hotels commitment to the tourism industry in Ireland. Throughout the renovation process 50 jobs were created by the building project from local architects, builders and craftsmen.
