Irish Company Keogh’s Reveal Exciting Winter Flavours For Emirates Passengers

Earlier this year, Emirates announced its partnership with Keogh’s Crisps, the much-loved Irish brand based in Northern Dublin.

Available to First Class passengers as part of its Hot Sandwiches and Snacks service, Keogh’s was selected by the Emirates Group following a blind tasting of 15 different brands, of which Keogh’s came out on top.

Going down a treat with passengers on board, Keogh’s has reported that its ‘Cheese and Onion’ is the most popular choice, followed closely by the ‘Shamrock & Sour Cream’ and then the ‘Lightly Salted’ option.

This winter, Keogh’s will be providing seasonal variations such as ‘Turkey and Stuffing’, which will be introduced on board for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Made specifically with passengers in mind, Keogh’s created a bespoke smaller sized 25g pack that includes different sized crisps, all of which are gluten and lactose free.

According to Tom Keogh, Managing Director of Keogh’s Crisps: “The partnership with Emirates has been fantastic and it’s surreal to think First Class Passengers globally are enjoying a pack of home grown Keogh’s crisps with a cup of tea or coffee at 40,000 ft. For Christmas we’re introducing the Turkey and Stuffing variation, which is in production at the moment and we‘re looking forward to being able to offer a very special flavour on board.”

Enda Corneille, country manager for Emirates in Ireland said: “The Keogh’s partnership with Emirates has been a great success story and the brand joins other fantastic Irish products on board selected flights.”

He added: “Having Keogh’s on board is testament to the quality and taste of the crisps being produced at the North Dublin farm. To add to this, Emirates also works with other Irish brands such as Gahan meats, Killowen Yogurts, Jameson Whiskey, Bailey’s and VOYA beauty products, so there’s a little taste of Ireland heading east every day.”

During a recent visit to Keogh’s farm, we got up close and personal with the smaller crisps, which definitely pack a real flavour punch – perfect for your dodgy tastebuds 40,000 ft in the air.
