Fiona Uyema to Return to the Stage at Bloom along with Catherine Fulvio, Neven Maguire and The Happy Pear

For the third consecutive year Fiona Uyema will return to the Bord Bia Chef’s Quality Kitchen Stage, at Bloom 2016, alongside Catherine Fulvio, Neven Maguire and The Happy Pear -to name but a few!

Fiona Uyema’s cookery demonstrations will focus on fusing Japanese flavours with local Irish ingredients. Fiona says “I’m excited about the three recipes, a starter, main course and dessert, that I’ll demo this year, as they bring elements of both Irish and Japanese cooking together”.

Fiona’s demos take place on Saturday June 4th at 13:15 to 14:15 and Sunday June 5th at 16:15 to 17:00.

Fiona will also be signing copies of her cookbook “Japanese Food Made Easy” after each of her demos.

Bloom 2016 takes place on the June Bank Holiday Weekend, in Phoenix Park, Dublin from 2nd June to 6th Jun. The festival is open from 9am to 6pm and kids go for free.

There is plenty to enjoy on the day including admiring the stunning gardens, the food village, family fun, shopping, dining and live cookery demonstrations.

ABOUT FIONA UYEMA

A self-taught cook, food-writer and author, Fiona Uyema is one of Ireland’s leading Japanese cooks and cookery instructors. Passionate about bringing the art of Japanese home-cooking into kitchens across the country and further afield, her first book, Japanese Food Made Easy was published in September 2015.

Fiona Uyema’s love of the Japanese language, culture and cuisine began in Dublin City University where she studied Japanese and International Marketing.
