Happy Mondays at Fallon and Byrne by Suzi Redmond

Happy Monday? YES, Monday saw Team Taste retire for the evening to Fallon and Byrne for a glass of wine. Unknown to some was that Fallon & Byrne Monday’s are “Happy Mondays” Why? €1 corkage!

You can pop down to the cellar and go rogue. Every bottle on the shelf can be enjoyed in the warm and relaxing embrace of the wine cellar for just an extra euro than you would pay to take it home, plus you have the added bonus of a great food menu on offer.

Plenty to share or not, it is a great opportunity to try some fantastic wines that might just be out of your price range on a regular visit. There is an amazing array of wines on offer. They have in excess of 600 bottles on the shelves so here’s your chance to try something new. I have been enjoying nights out in Fallon & Byrne quite regularly over the years to meet up with friends and relax for the evening.

It is one of my favourite places for food, wine and value plus the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. So pop down some evening or how about trying their fabulous restaurant on the first floor. Either way you are in for a treat.
