This Newly Renovated Restaurant Invites You to Experience an Exclusive Dinner Event
There are many wonderful restaurants to wine and dine, but this exclusive dinner event at the historical Osprey Hotel, Kildare is truly unmissable. Introducing their one-night-only Taste of Herald & Devoy, the recently refurbished restaurant invites the public to experience a very special evening on October 19th.
Following their grand opening in July 2017, the restaurant will host an evening that introduces even more people to their culinary creations with a Prosecco reception, followed by dinner and drinks, with entertainment from local popular three-piece band, Riff Shop.
Expect a feast of food made with local ingredients that reflects the modern ethos of the restaurant as you take in the fresh new interior, within the bright and vibrant dining room. Seating 130 guests comfortably, renowned architect Hugh Wallace is responsible and very proud of the renovation for the restaurant, and will also be present at the event to talk about all its new details.
Featuring an open plan dining room and lobby area, the bar sits within the middle of the room, embellished with bronze mosaic tiles that help reflect even more light around the room. Diners will be spoiled when seated, as its layout is designed to showcase the stunning views of the Osprey Hotel grounds while you indulge in each course.
Given that the Osprey Hotel is also built upon the old Devoy Barracks, the tribute of naming the restaurant after Irish rebel leader John Devoy only makes sense. Devoy himself also worked for the New York Herald when he moved to America in the early 1900s until his death, hence the combination of Herald & Devoy.
The hotel’s General Manager Peter Brennan is excited about this mid-October evening, and to showcase the new venue. “We look forward to seeing a good crowd coming down to get a taste of what we have to offer. We’re really confident in the quality of our food.
“Aside from the food, I’m sure people will be impressed with the design and the layout of the venue. Hugh Wallace has done an exceptional job of turning this restaurant into a modern, comfortable and relaxing setting. We’ve worked hard to make Herald & Devoy into what it has become, and now we want to let our customers enjoy the fruits of our labour.”
Tickets cost €20, and can be bought via the website or by calling the Osprey Hotel on 045 88 1111
