This winter, escape to the luxurious Ice House Hotel in Mayo and indulge in a fabulously festive feast. This special event is called ‘Jingles, Gin & Goose’, and is a fantastic way to kick start the holiday season. On the 6th of December, guests are invited to relax and unwind at this stunning hotel and enjoy the sweeping views over the river Moy.
Upon arrival, guests will be served a special gin cocktail and will have the opportunity to try some interesting seasonal gin cocktails. Each cocktail has been expertly created by the Ice House mixology team.
Sit down for dinner and enjoy a five-course dinner that has been specially designed by head chef Anthony Holland and his team. Each course will have matching wines that will perfectly suit each dish.
To begin your culinary journey choose from starters such as Kelly’s black pudding bon-bon, house-cured Achill Sea Salt Strawboys Vodka gravlax with poached wild Atlantic prawns or duo of confit Silverhill duck.
For your main course enjoy a seasonal dish of duo of goose, confit parcel and roasted breast, buttered chestnuts, sweet potato purée and mandarin jus.
Perhaps you would prefer a duo of wild Irish venison featuring the loin of venison, venison and rosemary sausage, mixed bean or a delicious Kelly’s chorizo cassoulet with a rosemary jus. For dessert, guests will be served a selection of mini Christmas favourites.
The price for this festive Jingles, Gin & Goose dinner is only €55 per person and includes a welcome gin cocktail and wine pairings with the dinner.
