International festivals Coachella and the Cannes Film Festival saw the first preview of Grey Goose’s new signature cocktail, Le Grand Fizz. Now the drink, designed to add a touch of French savoir faire to summer soirées, will be served at some of the hottest social occasions across the globe, as well as at leading bars throughout Ireland.
An elegant blend of Grey Goose Vodka, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, soda water and fresh lime, Le Grand Fizz is the ultimate summer cocktail for that effortless Riviera feel. Grey Goose Global Ambassador, Joe McCanta, explains that the cocktail is also very easy to make at home and “it also lends itself well to a range of twists, by simply substituting the range of Grey Goose flavours and a corresponding aromatic garnish. For example, if you add Grey Goose La Poire vodka and fresh pear, it creates and orchard-style spritz.”
So, if you want to give your soirée a bit of French Riviera charm, follow the recipe below and prepare your own Le Grand Fizz:
– 35ml Grey Goose Vodka
– 15ml St. Germain elderflower liqueur
– 70ml soda water
– Squeeze of 2 lime wedges
– High-density ice cubes
Method:
1. Build ice into an oversized Cabernet wine glass.
2. Add the Grey Goose Vodka and freshly squeezed lime juice.
3. Top with St. Germain elderflower liqueur and chilled soda water.
4. Garnish with two lime wedges and a Grey Goose stirrer.
Tip: For added aromatics, twist the zest of the squeezed lime wedge over the top of the drink.
