21 June 2016: To celebrate the recent arrival of Le Pain Quotidien at Kildare Village, founder Alain Coumont hosted an exclusive masterclass teaching the fundamentals of baking. Baking is at the heart of the restaurant-boulangerie and the Belgian chef showed food and lifestyle media and influencers how to make Le Pain Quotidien’s signature Five Seed Bread and Spelt Quinoa Scone and shared his top tips and techniques.

Guests were treated to prosecco on arrival and following the hands-on masterclass gathered at the communal table that Le Pain Quotidien is famous for to indulge in a selection of salads, signature tartines, delicious hot dishes and artisan bread. The menu featured Avocado Toast, Salmon Tartine, Smoked Chicken Cobb, Chicken & Veal Meatballs, Tarte Tatin and Chia Pudding made from locally sourced and organic produce.

All guests departed with a gift bag filled with a Le Pain Quotidien cookbook, bakeware from Le Creuset and VIP discount card for Kildare Village.

Le Pain Quotidien opened its first Irish restaurant at Kildare Village in October 2015 and boasts a 190-seater restaurant and a 50-seater outdoor terrace.
