Rejoice! Low Calorie Super Food Ice Cream Oppo to Hit Irish Freezers this Summer

While warm weather isn’t an Irish summer certainty, that ice cream craving we all get when the sun peaks through the clouds is guaranteed to make an appearance. Indulging that craving is about to become entirely guilt free, with the award-winning Oppo ice cream set to hit Supervalu stores across Ireland in the next few weeks.

Oppo comes in a range of tempting flavours, each spiked with super food ingredients to create ice cream with actual benefits. The range includes delicious sounding Salted Caramel with lucuma, Mint Chocolate Swirl with spirulina and Madagascan Vanilla with baobab, all made with fresh milk and virgin coconut oil. Chocolate fiends will be pleased to hear that they have just added a fourth flavour, Colombian Chocolate and Hazelnut, which sounds like the perfect healthy nutella craving fix.

This new ice cream’s health credentials don’t stop there, as each tub contains 60% less sugar and calories than regular ice cream meaning you can serve yourself up a scoop for as little as 37 calories. Unlike many low calorie treats, Oppo is all natural and sweetened with erythritol and stevia, meaning it is a low sugar treat without the dodgy effects of aspartame and other artificial sweeteners.

Finally, Salted Caramel flavour has been awarded a Great Taste gold star, so you can be sure that this ice cream is delicious as well as guilt-free. Oppo will be stocked in 180 Supervalu stores nationwide (€6.50 per 500ml) and is due to land on our shores in the next two weeks, having already taken the UK market by storm.
