New Say Hello to More Campaign Shows ROI Residents the Unique Side to Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is home to a host of unique experiences that cannot be found anywhere else and these feature heavily in TNI’s new Say Hello To More campaign which is designed to encourage residents of the Republic of Ireland to make the trip north for a short break or holiday.

TOURISM Northern Ireland (TNI) is inviting holidaymakers all over Ireland to add Northern Ireland to their list of ‘must see’ short break and holiday destinations with the launch of a new Autumn publicity campaign aimed specifically at the Irish market.

Visitors from all over the world travel to Northern Ireland to see the extraordinary rock formations of the Giant’s Causeway or the walled city of Derry – the last remaining completely walled city in Ireland.

Only Belfast can claim to be the true birthplace of the Titanic and is home to the world’s biggest Titanic exhibition Titanic Belfast which was recently named as Europe’s Best Visitor Attraction at the World Travel Awards.

Add these to a wealth of other compelling attractions such as world renowned golf courses (Royal Portrush will host The Open Championship in 2019), award-winning spas and Michelin star restaurants, stunning coastlines and castles (many of which have featured in TV phenomenon Game of Thrones®), and you can certainly see why Tourism NI is feeling positive about the future.

Tourism NI Market Manager (ROI) Fiona Cunningham said: “The Republic of Ireland is a hugely important market for Northern Ireland tourism due to its close proximity and the ease of access for visitors. There is so much to see and do in Northern Ireland that you cannot find anywhere else so, with our new campaign, we are inviting people right across Ireland to say hello to more unique experiences, world famous sights, fascinating culture and award winning food by booking a break in Northern Ireland.”

The Say Hello To More campaign is based on the concept that there are more things to do, see and experience in Northern Ireland than many people might realise and focuses around seven key themes which include Belfast Titanic City, the Walled City of Derry, Coasts and Lakes, Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink, Golf and Spa, Castles and Gardens, and Room and Rail.
