Peroni Gluten Free Restaurant Week is in full swing, with a number of Ireland’s eateries currently serving a special Italian-inspired gluten free dish along with a cooling Peroni Gluten Free beer.
Curious to sample the gluten free options, we booked ourselves into Dublin’s Coppinger Row on Tuesday night. As we perused the special menu, we tucked into our Peroni Gluten Free beer, impressed by the taste and without the label, we wouldn’t have known that it was gluten free.
As part of Peroni Gluten Free Restaurant Week, guests can enjoy a three-course dinner in participating restaurants. The main is the special gluten free dish, which is served with a refreshing bottle of Peroni Gluten Free.
For our starters, we decided on the Tomato and Mozzarella Bruschetta with Salsa Verde and a welcome portion of Whole Garlic and Chilli Prawns A La Plancha.
The special gluten free main in Coppinger Row was a Beetroot Risotto with Goat’s Cheese and Caramelised Walnuts. A creative and colourful dish, we happily munched away while appreciating the cold beer by our side.
Dessert was a real treat, with the Chocolate Amaretto satisfying taste buds. However, it was the superb Charred Pineapple dish with Rum and Raisin Ice Cream and Passion Fruit Curd that really captured our attention.
Finishing our dinner with a final sip of Peroni Gluten Free Beer, we were both in agreement that Peroni Gluten Free Restaurant Week proves that you don’t need to have a gluten intolerance to appreciate the dishes on offer, or indeed the gluten free beer.
The Peroni Gluten Free restaurant week is running until this Sunday, February 11th, in a number of restaurants around Dublin, Cork and Belfast.
