A Zesty and Affordable French White Wine to Enjoy with Lighter Dishes

Winter warmers here, winter warmers there and no matter how tantastic and full bodied the red in your glass, it’s still freezing out there. So, let’s try a different approach this week and go for a fresh and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, after all, there is only so much stew one can actually cook, and having a versatile crowd pleaser at hand is the signature move of both a savvy host and a smart guest.

Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc is Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc is an affordable treat from France’s Loire Valley, made by Sauv Blanc extraordinaire, Henri Bourgeois Family, with 10 generations of winemakers crafting Sauvignon Blanc in prestigious regions such as Sancerre and more recently, New Zealand’s Marlborough.

A mouth watering acidity awaits you, and its lean body delivers harmonious notes of zesty lemons, grapefruits, crisp green apples, kiwifruit and a subtle hint of eldelflowers.

It’ll be a good match for goats cheese salads, white fish or shellfish and lightly seasoned chicken dishes. It will also work nicely as an aperitif.

Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc is available at O’Briens Wine for €15.95.
