Stefan Matz, the award-winning executive head chef at Delphi Adventure Resort & Spa has created a tasty new series of food and wine events to showcase the finest produce from the region with a range of gourmet and fine wine experiences sure to please all palates.
As part of this new series, Aasleagh Lodge, part of the Delphi Adventure Resort Portfolio and a beautifully restored 19th century Victorian country house, set in 36 acres of mature woodlands with magnificent views over Killary Harbour, will play host to a Portuguese Wine Dinner on Saturday, 28th November in association with award-winning chef Stefan Matz and James Nicholson Wine.
Situated on the River Erriff just outside Leenane, Aasleagh Lodge is a gorgeous backdrop for this delectable feast for both the eyes and senses. Guests will savour a delectable 7-course tasting menu created by award-winning chef Stefan Matz with matching wines carefully selected by JN Wine to enhance and elaborate on the wealth of flavours on every plate and will be introduced on the evening by Sara n Caldeira from Quinta do Mouro and Adega do monte Branco.
The 7-course Portuguese Wine Dinner, which begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, 28th November costs €79 per person with matching wines and tea or coffee. Overnight packages are also available from €119 per person for dinner, one-night accommodation and breakfast the following morning.
