The Dublin Bar Academy was set up in 2012 by Richard Linden and Ronan Rogerson to give young and aspiring bartenders the training they need to step behind any bar in the world with confidence. Having worked in the industry for a combined 30 years, they realised that there was a genuine demand for higher standards in training and education.

Dates: Selected Tuesday evenings from 6pm – 9pm
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
– Introduction to milk chemistry
– The art of texturing milk to achieve the perfect micro foam everytime
– How to split milk to achieve the correct foam ratio for pouring
– Milk Pouring techniques
– Design techniques used to create Hearts, Rosettas and Tulips
– How to develop consistency in each pour
Instructor
Your instructor for the day will be Dublin Bar Academy Head Barista; Paul Taylor.
Paul developed a passion for coffee whilst living in New Zealand and Australia between 2001 and 2005. A time when our Australian friends were regarded as having the most advanced barista scene outside of Italy. On his return to Dublin Paul worked at Third Floor Espresso (3FE) where he spent 2 years refining his trade. He was one of the founding owners of Tamp & Stitch in Temple Bar which was one of Irelands first Clothes & Coffee Boutiques. Tamp and Stitch was listed in the Irish Times as best new shop in 2013.
