Prosecco lovers rejoice: Aldi’s 3 litre bottle of Prosecco is now available in Ireland. News of the UK launch made headlines a few weeks ago but now the product has been spotted in the retailer’s Irish page.
Large format wine bottles are incredibly on trend this season and while the most well known is the magnum (which fits 1.5 litre or double of what a standards 750 ml bottle can hold, this majestic 3 litre creature of bubbly goodness, also known as Jeroboam, holds twice as much.
This means you can serve twenty four 125 ml glasses of Prosecco with just one bottle. That is less than €3 per serve.
Besides, with its eye catching presence, Aldi’s Prosecco 3 little bottle will be the perfect ice breaker (not literally please!) at your next celebration.
Aldi describes this super-sized product as having “light, delicate aromas of fresh citrus fruits and wisteria flower. The flavour is delicate, with a refreshing acidity and soft sherbet taste. It’s perfect as an aperitif, or with light fish dishes and salads.” It has an ABV of 11% and it’s priced at €69.99.
