Break Out the Bubbles – First Ever Prosecco Festival Comes to London

If the thought of trudging through muddy fields and chugging warm cans of cider isn’t quite your idea of a fun festival experience, you will be delighted to hear that London’s first ever Prosecco Festival is planned for this summer.

Prosecco Springs will bring a taste of North East Italy to East London from May 12th to 14th and it sounds like the makings of a fantastic weekend. Italy’s leading Prosecco producers will come together under one roof to educate the new generation of Prosecco drinkers. With informative sessions, Prosecco Masterclasses lead by expert Sommeliers as well as tastings mean this Prosecco Festival will marry the joy of learning with one of life’s great pleasures.

As no Italian celebration would be complete without delicious food – revelers can expect a line up of authentic Italian dishes designed by chef Paolo Eles. Expect classic fayre from ‘Venetian Cicchetti’, which are bar snacks and small plates to sharing platters of antipasti, charcuterie and cheeses. Pasta e Fagioli, Lumache (Italian snails), Baccalà mantecato, Polpettine and a tempting sounding Risotto al Prosecco will all be on offer to compliment the bubbles.

On the music front, live jazz and sets from Oval Space DJs will be easy listening and set the atmosphere for easy sipping. Tickets entitle festival go-ers to a glass of Prosecco from each of the eight producers and five hour access to the event for £35. Tickets including attendance at a Masterclass are on sale for £50.
