Are You a Rule Breaker? Ryanair is Sick of People Abusing Their Cabin Bag Allowances

Are you someone who takes advantage of the cabin bag rules on Ryanair? The airline has said that these people are causing boarding delays for their fellow passengers.

In a statement from Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, the airline commented: “Despite our repeated messaging, some customers are still attempting to bring larger than permitted bags onboard, which are causing delays at the boarding gate.”

The current rules, which are being “repeatedly flouted”, allow passengers to carry one “normal” sized cabin bag (55cm x 40cm x 20cm) onto the aircraft.

Passengers can also bring an additional small bag, such as a handbag, laptop case or shopping bag onboard free of charge.

The complimentary second bag has been one of the most popular additions to Ryanair’s service, but the airline has been threatening to remove the service following “abuse” of the policy by passengers.

In a bid to combat the abusers, Ryanair even released a video about their cabin baggage policy – “Use It, Don’t Abuse It Or Lose It”.

However, it seems as if people are continuing to struggle to follow the rules.
