An Immersive Evening of Whiskey Tasting, Storytelling and Music Is Coming to Cork
J.J.Coppinger’s Bar combines modern service with a historical setting and old school charm. The appealing Cork venue, located on Main Street, Midleton, is the ideal setting for a whiskey experience that will combine the enjoyment of the grain spirit with great storytelling.
Slane Irish Whiskey, who has recently brought high quality whiskey back to the Boyne Valley, will host the evening, which will take place on the 30th of November from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Both Midleton and the Boyne Valley share a longstanding legacy of artisan crafts and are on the frontier of the food movement.
J.J.Coppinger, a bar named after a 19th century soldier who led his troops through the wild Idaho countryside, has a soft spot for a good story and on this evening, guests will be treated to that of Slane Castle in County Meath and Slane Whiskey Distillery pays homage to the resilient nature of its heritage and its surrounding.
Discover the fascinating history of the castle, the Conyngham family and of course, enjoy Slane Irish Whiskey. Guests will then be entertained by a live demo of Char Sui pork belly with a whiskey-tinged sauce and invited to explore the flavour of a triple-casked blend, tasted alongside delectable whiskey-cured salmon blini with horseradish creme fraiche and dill sprig.
To end on a sweet not, they will be treated to a comforting Irish coffee, accompanied by a dark chocolate and orange zest brownie. There will be prizes up for grabs on the night and music The Jackdaw Sessions.
Tickets are incredibly good value, priced at just €15.
