Taste Cork Week Announce a Delicious Schedule for You to Get Your Teeth Into

Back for its second year, Taste Cork Week, October 16th- 22nd, will be a countywide culinary celebration with restaurants, pubs and cafes creating their very own ‘Taste Cork’ experience.

Organised by Festival Cork, for the first time this year Taste Cork will also feature “Taste Jazz”, extending the foodie festivities from 23rd-26th October in the run up to Guinness Cork Jazz Festival taking place that weekend.

For the main event, Taste Cork Week events will take place across over 40 venues, showcasing the best local produce the county has to offer.

Events include a “Meet the Producers” event at Electric Cork, on Wednesday 18th, giving people the chance to meet some of Cork’s best producers, and to sample their products.

On the same day Ballyvolane House will host a distillery tour and lunch, and on the 19th another iconic Cork house, Ballymaloe House, invites you to join their supper club in association with Jameson Whiskey.

On Monday 16th October, six lucky people the chance to become a Gelato maker for the day at Casanova Gelato – the limited tickets €55 and will grant holders an exclusive behind the scenes opportunity into the world of making ice cream.

Holy Smoke

Cork’s premier Fire and Smoke restaurant will host an exclusive Taste Cork BBQ with craft beer and whiskey October 17th, giving diners a chance to explore their extensive menu.

On The Pig’s Back will also be hosting cheese tasting session all week-long in both The English Market and Douglas.

In association to with Guinness and Diageo, Taste Jazz will see a series of pop ups take place in the new Nano Nagle Place with tickets still available for event such as “Tastescapes” from Seamus O’Connell of Ivory Tower on the 23rd, and “Plateau de fruits de Mer” at The Fish Bar, within the South Mall’s Electric bar and restaurant.

Other city venues will also embrace the spirit of Taste Jazz events in city venues, on Wednesday 25th Holy Smoke will host “Jazz Cuts”, a night of whiskey, steaks and live jazz, and whiskey lovers can also mark Thursday 26th in their diaries and head to Sober Lane, where there will be a Roe and Co Whiskey tasting and live music.
