This weekend will see the hugely anticipated Taste of Kildare food festival take over the walled garden of the K Club, much to the delight of food lovers.
On Sunday 19th August, attendees will enjoy delicious treats at various food stalls from Kildare’s best producers, suppliers and restaurants.
Rachel Allen and Martin Shanahan will be the special hosts to the first annual Taste of Kildare event.
Also in attendance will be Ross Lewis of Michelin star Chapter One and Thomas Haughton, giving cookery demonstrations celebrating the best produce from Kildare.

Commenting on this year’s festival, Rachel said: “When I was asked if I would attend the first Taste of Kildare, I had no hesitation in saying yes. Kildare is continually developing and is turning into such a vibrant hub for visitors.”
Rachel added: “This is such a great food festival as it provides an opportunity to showcase the superb fresh Kildare farm to fork food offering, as well as providing a springboard to the public arena for new local talent.”
During the festival, guests can enjoy craft beer and wine tastings. Live music and entertainment will be provided by acclaimed singer-songwriter Paddy Casey, as well as a live jazz band and DJ.
The K Club will be hosting a gala lunch in their Legacy Suite for 300 guests that will feature local suppliers and producers. Diners will enjoy an exclusive afternoon of fine dining.
Sporting fans need not worry about missing the All-Ireland hurling final as the event will be shown live on a big screen, so you can grab some delicious food and sit back and enjoy the match.
