Tasty New Additions to the 2016 Taste of Dublin Festival Line-up

In less than three weeks, Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens will welcome thousands of foodies through its gates for the culinary event of the year – the annual Taste of Dublin festival, sponsored by Electrolux. Taking place from Thursday, June 16th to Sunday, June 19th, this 4-day event will celebrate the vibrant and diverse Dublin culinary scene, as well as some of the Irish chefs who are making waves abroad with the festival’s special “Homecoming” theme this year, brought to you by Chill Insurance.

From fiery live demos at the Electrolux Taste Theatre with Ireland’s leading chefs to intimate workshops at the Chefs’ Secrets; delectable dishes from some of the country’s most exciting restaurants to showcases from leading Irish artisan producers; not to mention live entertainment throughout the weekend, this year’s Taste of Dublin is truly a weekend not to be missed.

To whet the appetite a little more, here are some fantastic new additions to the festival line-up:

– Family Fun

For the junior foodies, Mymilkman.ie will host Family Afternoons at Taste of Dublin on Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 12pm-4pm each day. With family games, interactive shows for the kids, tasty refreshments and the chance to meet the mymilkman.ie mascot, a great day of family fun is guaranteed for young and old.

– Let them eat cake!

For the first time at Taste of Dublin, The Natural Bakery will serve up a selection of freshly baked breads, treats and cakes to festival-goers across the 4 days. Visitors will experience the ‘farm to loaf’ bread-making process with the bakery’s exciting onsite mill as well as exclusive live baking demonstrations at the Bakers’ Table with some very special guests.

– The ‘People’s Republic’ comes to the Capital

The Franciscan Well Brew Pub is one of the Ireland’s most renowned breweries and is undoubtedly one of Cork’s most treasured assets! For the first time ever, the award-winning Franciscan Well will relocate to Dublin for 4 exclusive days to join this year’s Taste of Dublin event. Visitors to Taste of Dublin 2016 can experience what Corkonians have been raving about years – the famous Franciscan Well Brew Pub atmosphere that combines the unique Taste of Franciscan Well Craft Beers with traditional Cork hospitality. Franciscan Well will also be showcasing its seasonal range of craft beers, including its World Beer Award-winning Summer Saison as a Taste of Dublin Exclusive, which was recently named “Best Seasonal Pale Ale in the World”.

– A World of Discovery

Step inside “The Crate” for an unforgettable culinary experience with Chef Andrew Rudd. A life-size wooden crate, The Crate promises a showcase of amazing food and drink discoveries from all over the world. Due to popular demand, The Crate will only be available at certain times during the weekend so be sure to check opening times in advance and book your place as soon as you arrive at the Iveagh Gardens.
