The Coburg Brasserie at The Conrad Awarded 2 AA Rosettes
Conrad Dublin’s new eatery The Coburg is a relaxed brasserie featuring a locally inspired all-day menu. The Coburg holds a unique place amongst five star hotels in Dublin by deliberately steering clear of a fine dining offering and instead, offers a menu that is more aligned to today’s cosmopolitan Dublin, with a more relaxed vibe.
Commenting on the award, General Manager, Martin Mangan said “What an amazing start to 2017 for Conrad Dublin and our dedicated Team. 2016 saw the completion of our vision, and we are thrilled to receive this coveted award from the AA, only months after completing our renovation programme. The Coburg opened in April 2016, so we are especially delighted to receive 2 AA Rosettes.”
Executive Chef, Dmitry Stroykov, who uses ingredients from many local producers and suppliers, has created the Coburg menu. Dmitry Stroykov, said: “The ingredients we use in the kitchen are central to our menu creation and guests recognise that many producers and suppliers are local to the area. Our guests call by for a casual brunch, late business lunch, pre-theatre, celebratory dinners or a light supper, which offers real flexibility to diners who don’t want their schedules determined by a restaurant’s opening times.”
AA Rosettes are awarded solely for the quality of the restaurant’s cooking that demonstrates consistent standards of all dishes on the menus. To specifically achieve an AA Rosette Award, innovation, greater technical skills, consistency and judgment in combining and balancing ingredients are required. Rosettes are only awarded to those restaurants which aim for and achieve higher standards. They must exhibit greater precision in their cooking and selection of quality ingredients.
