The Marker Hotel Introduces Personal Training, Wellness Retreats and New ‘Equilibrium’ Menu

Following the introduction of their new health and wellbeing concept Equilibrium last summer, The Marker hotel has added to the campaign this January across all areas of the hotel including the gym, restaurant and spa.

The Marker has partnered with No. 17 Personal Training owned by John Belton who has been in the fitness industry for 15 years. Regarded as one of Ireland most sought after personal trainers John’s passion is helping people to live to 100% of their capacity. The hotel has also introduced a ‘run club’ and yoga boxes where guests can practice in the comfort of their own rooms or on the hotel’s rooftop.

Speaking about the No. 17 partnership John said, “This allows me complete my holistic approach to wellness through the marriage of correct nutritional protocols, coupled with access to stress management facilities (hotel’s spa) as well as training in the state-of-the-art facilities. Having access to 5 star services like this allows me to fully integrate the D.R.E.S.S (Diet, Rest & Recovery, Exercise, Stress Management, Supplementation) to keep high-stress individuals functioning at the top of their game“. Personal training sessions at The Marker gym cost €700 for 10 classes.

For those who want to an urban retreat to feel refreshed and renewed The Maker Hotel has teamed-up with fitness guru Liz Costigan-Fleury who will run a retreat at The Marker on Saturday 23rd January. Guests will be greeted with fresh juices and healthy bites, enjoy a yoga class, learn the art of meditation, take part in a fitness session and a Q&A on healthy living. There is also a goodie bag packed full of healthy treats to take away. Tickets are priced €75 for the day.

Diet is obviously key to looking and feeling great and Executive Chef Gareth Mullins has added to the hugely popular ‘Equilibrium’ menu, which is grounded in the concept of balance and avoid dieting, with the latest food trend ‘Bone Broth’, from Brooklyn to Bondi this dish has been making headlines for its healthy and nutritional value. Made with beef and beetroot this includes plenty of collagen and is good for your skin and your stomach. Other options include the Refuel Salad, Protein Balls, The Nutri Box, Avocado Coconut & Lime Cake and a selection of raw juices.

For those looking for pampering and relaxation the award-winning Marker spa has a host of treatments includes the Lomi Lomi massage which is renowned for its balance restoring principles and focuses on the alignment of the heart, mind, body and soul. Other treatments include reflexology and the Spirulina wrap, a glacial lava shell treatment using 100% natural ingredients that are beneficial to the entire system.

The Marker introduced its Equilibrium philosophy in 2015 in response to a growing demand from its guests and customers who like to indulge by dining out but also like a large selection of healthy choices, enjoy regular exercise and indulge in some relaxation.
