TheTaste’s Keith Mahon Named Ireland’s No. 1 Food and Drink Journalist in the #MurrayTweetIndex

This morning, leading communications consultancy firm Murray Consultants, released their list with Ireland’s most influential journalists on Twitter in 2016. TheTaste’s co-founder Keith Mahon achieved first place in the Food and Drink Journalists’ category and the 19th position in the overall national ranking of the most influential Twitter users in Ireland.

Social media plays such a big part of what we do at TheTaste, I’m delighted to be included in such an esteemed list. I feel that this recognition comes because of the amazing team of journalists involved in our magazine“, said Keith.

The top five food and drink journalists’ list was completed by Gillian Nelis, Marie Claire Digby, Tom Doorley and Lucinda O’Sullivan.

As explained on the Murray Tweet Index site, “the #murraytweetindex is published by communications consultancy Murray and measures journalists across six parameters to capture their popularity, the quality of engagement and level of activity.” The company, founded in 1974, has gained recognition for their “skill in strategically planning and implementing corporate, public affairs, public information, trade and consumer communication programmes.”
