21st October 2015 –  Some 60 leading French food and lifestyle journalists gathered in Paris, to join Northern Ireland-born and internationally-acclaimed food writer, Trish Deseine, for the launch of her latest cookbook Mon Irlande (or ‘Home – Recipes from Ireland’, the English version). The event was co-hosted by Tourism Ireland, Bord Bia and publisher Hatchette Cuisine and took place at the Irish Embassy.

Trish, who grew up on a farm near Doagh in Co Antrim, has lived and worked in France for many years and is now a well-known food writer and cookbook author. Her latest book is a collection of recipes gathered from right around the island of Ireland, with stunning photography showcasing our wonderful natural food, the new wave of fantastic chefs working across the island, as well as our beautiful countryside.

Monica MacLaverty, Tourism Ireland’s manager for Southern Europe, said: “The launch of ‘Mon Irlande’ was a wonderful occasion to celebrate our superb food offering. Trish has been a food ambassador for the island of Ireland for many years and her latest book is another way of reminding people of our culinary excellence, helping us to promote Ireland in France to people who love great food.

Mon Irlande is now available in all good bookshops.
