TV3 & Aldi are Calling out for Diners to take part in ‘The Restaurant’

Exciting times for foodies with news of the return of the hugely popular “The Restaurant” on TV3. This year the show also has a new home Marco Pierre White’s Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook.

The brand new series of ‘The Restaurant’ on TV3 is proudly sponsored by Aldi.

‘The Restaurant’ will go into production next month and will air on TV3 in the New Year. Diners can apply now to be part of ‘The Restaurant’ and receive a complimentary meal courtesy of proud sponsors Aldi, by logging onto www.alditherestaurant.com or www.tv3.ie/takepart. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 28th July.

World famous chef Marco Pierre White will be joining the critics table, alongside resident critic Tom Doorley and a guest critic each week.

Maitre’D John Healy returns with well-known faces Stephen McAllister, Gary O’Hanlon and Louise Lennox all taking their place in the kitchen.

Model and food-blogger and one of ‘The Restaurants’ previous celebrity chefs Roz Purcell was at Marco Pierre White’s Courtyard Bar & Grill today to celebrate the TV3 and Aldi call out for diners to take part in a brand new series of ‘The Restaurant’.

This year, the stunning new home of ‘The Restaurant’ will be Marco Pierre White’s Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, with the world class chef himself joining the critics table alongside resident critic Tom Doorley and a guest critic each week.

Voiced by well-known presenter Sean Moncrieff, it’s the eleventh series of the hugely popular Irish reality television series.

‘The Restaurant’ will see six celebrities become head chefs over the six weeks. They will be whisked off to Marco Pierre White’s Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, where they will attempt to produce a top-class three course menu. The menu will then be judged by the critics table where a possible five star rating will be up for grabs.

During service, the celebrities will get instant feedback in the kitchen on their menu from remote cameras and microphones covering the dining room. The identity of the celebrities will remain a secret to the diners and the critics until service is over, at which point the celebrity will step out of the kitchen and face the critics in front of the diners.

TV3 will air 6 one-hour episodes of ‘The Restaurant’ in the New Year. To be part of ‘The Restaurant’ dining experience on TV3, visit www.alditherestaurant.com or www.tv3.ie/takepart
